The buy-before-you-sell program could be a great way to move.

Most sellers today want to make a move, but they hear so much about the market that they don’t want to get involved. It doesn’t have to be that crazy. You don’t have to end up homeless, and you don’t have to move twice. I know my last video was about how competitive the buyer market was, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

One of those tricks is a buy-before-you-sell program. Through it, a company will help you purchase your new home even if your down payment is wrapped up in your current home, which happens a lot! People have a lot of money in their homes, especially with all the appreciation we’ve had.

How does this program work? We’ll start shopping for a home, and when we find one, the company will purchase the home for you. You have up to six months to sell your home and purchase the new house back from the company.

However, we don’t want to use those full six months. During that time, you’ll be a tenant in your new home, so we don’t want you to stay like that long. As you’re searching for houses, we’ll also prep your old home for sale. After you buy, we’ll put your old home on the market. We’re trying to do this pretty much simultaneously so that you don’t have to make a double payment. 

That is a really good option for a lot of people; I would definitely take it. You don’t have to move twice, and you can keep your old home show-ready without having to live there at the same time. It’s a pretty luxurious option, all things considered.
